Students and teachers from the vocational course in Graphic Communication Design at Agrupamento de Escolas de Ermesinde visited the Graphic Industries – Impressions That Remain exhibition today. It is open until tomorrow, 16 October, at ESAD – School of Arts and Design, in Senhora da Hora, Matosinhos.
Accompanied by APIGRAF, they had the opportunity to discover the diversity of products and applications in the graphic industry: from packaging, labels and tags to stationery, paper bags, hygiene products and everyday items, as well as packaging for canned goods made from paperboard, aluminium and tinplate — a particularly significant reference in a municipality with a strong canning industry tradition.
The visit ended with the discovery of editorial objects such as books, magazines and newspapers, giving the young visitors a broad perspective on the sectors represented by APIGRAF and the constant presence of the graphic industry in our daily lives.
Throughout the visit, attention was also drawn to the role of technological innovation and environmental sustainability in these sectors, as well as Paulo Catrica’s distinctive perspective, highlighted in the photographs that form part of this exhibition.
Bringing young people closer to the graphic industry also means introducing them to the development and opportunities of a sector that is essential to society.
